The large, well equipped kitchen functions with a staff includes qualified chefs from Johnson & Wales Culinary Arts program, who prepare and serve meals that would have many restaurants blushing with envy. The head chef will happily meet your requests. Our Great Room is an exceptional place to hold a cocktail reception for up to 150 people in a beautiful setting.  It can also be augmented with hors d’oeuvres prepared by the Ocean Tides Culinary Program and drinks prepared by Center employees.

Culinary Arts Program

boys-serving-P1010007Students of the Culinary Program at Ocean Tides divide their day between culinary arts and basic academic subjects. The schedule allows for opportunities to intern and job shadow, and students earn a Food Safety Certificate. Students here learn the basics of  food safety, food preparation, restaurant management and customer service.

Ocean Tides is a residential school for court adjudicated boys grades 7-12 who learn through vocational programs beyond their general academics. Vocational programs at Ocean Tides School include: carpentry/woodworking, auto detailing, horticulture, landscaping, small engine instruction, woodturning and culinary arts.
